Lactation consultation services are available through our certified lactation consultants and lactation counselors.
All labor and delivery and postpartum RNs are proficient in providing the support and guidance new mothers need to begin breastfeeding their newborns within the first hour of life.
If for any reason the health of your newborn prevents immediate initiation of breastfeeding, our RNs can assist you to begin pumping in preparation for later breastfeeding.
If complications with breastfeeding should arise at any time during your stay or after you go home, we have certified lactation consultants and counselors on staff available to help. To reach the lactation consultation office, please call (970) 875-2662.
If your needs are of an urgent nature please call the Family Birth Center Nurses Station at (970) 871-2412 to speak to an RN. Someone is available to help you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
