Yampa Valley Medical Center provides nurse consultation and physician referral to residents of northwest Colorado as well as visitors to our area. ASK-A-NURSE operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is free and confidential to callers.
In Routt County, ASK-A-NURSE can be reached by calling 871-7878. In Moffat, Grand, or Rio Blanco counties, the toll-free number is 1-888-381-3587.
Our ASK-A-NURSE call center is staffed by registered nurses. When a caller has questions about symptoms, the nurse will assess the symptoms and provide advice on seeking care and improving health. The call center also answers healthcare questions and gives physician referrals. Additionally, ASK-A-NURSE provides information about Yampa Valley Medical Center, wellness classes and community services.
