In 2009 we set a goal to be within 90% of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) national average for each of the following publicly reported quality indicators:

Care of Pneumonia Patients

Care of Heart Failure Patients

Surgical Care Improvement Project

Care of the Patient with Acute Myocardial Infarction

Due to the relatively low number of cases for some of the conditions, you will notice that YVMC has too few cases for some indicators to have statistically significant data. However, each of these indicators is also monitored internally so that we can continually ensure our compliance.
