YVMC nurse named to Colorado Council
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, June 27, 2012 – A Yampa Valley Medical Center registered nurse has been named by Governor John Hickenlooper to the State Emergency Medical and Trauma Services Advisory Council (SEMTAC).
Steve Hilley, R.N., coordinator of quality programs at YVMC, was selected to represent a registered nurse involved in rural emergency medical and trauma services. Hilley also serves as trauma coordinator and emergency preparedness coordinator at YVMC.
SEMTAC responsibilities include advising the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment on all matters relating to emergency medical and trauma service programs.

Dr. Christine Darr, Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children; Commissioner Lew Gaiter III, Larimer County; John Harney, FACHE, University of Colorado Hospital; Chief Richard Martin, Castle Rock Fire Rescue Department; Dr. Roger Nagy, Colorado Springs Surgical Associates, Penrose-St. Francis Health System; Carl Smith, of Pitkin County; and Dr. Dennis Vollmer, Colorado Brain and Spine, Swedish Medical Center.
