SportsMed at Yampa Valley Medical Center offers incontinence treatment and pelvic floor rehabilitation services, including an Incontinence and Pelvic Pain Program and a Pregnancy and Postnatal Program.
The Incontinence and Pelvic Pain Rehabilitation Program is appropriate for patients experiencing stress, urge or mixed urinary incontinence, frequency and urgency syndromes, encopresis, chronic constipation, pelvic floor muscle dysfunctions, pelvic pain including vulvar pain, interstitial cystitis, dyspareunia and post pelvic/abdominal surgery problems including hysterectomy or radical prostatectomy.
We also have a specialized program for pediatric bladder and bowel problems.
Our services are inclusive of the entire pelvic floor region and based on the patient’s diagnosis and symptoms. The program is a safe and effective treatment for male and female patients of all ages.
What to Expect
Treatment may include: Clinical and/or home biofeedback; individualized stretching and strengthening exercises; joint, scar, soft tissue or visceral mobilization; internal vaginal/anal soft tissue mobilization/massage; electric stimulation; bladder training and education regarding diet, fluid management and bladder irritants.
Experienced Regional Provider
Currently, Kim Miles is the only physical therapist in the Rockies trained to perform internal pelvic floor rehabilitation for pelvic pain patients and is receiving patients from Craig to Denver.
