What is Yampa Valley Integrated Health?

New class -- Meditation and Book Study on the book "Buddha's Brain" by Rick Hanson. Four weeks on Wednesday evenings July 10, 17, 24 and 31, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Integrated Health

This four-week series will focus on how our brains influence our lives. There will be book discussion, practices and meditation in each class. You will discover how meditating can change the way your brain works, creating a more positive life.

Week 1, The Causes of Suffering: How our biology, thought patterns and experiences create unhappiness.

Week 4, Wisdom: Mindfulness, meditation, and relaxing our sense of self.

Your care at our clinic will involve collaboration between each provider you choose to see. As providers of many different modalities,
we work together and consult one another regularly on patient progress so as to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
We bill health insurance directly. Yampa Valley Integrated Health is contracted with many health insurance companies and can bill your company directly if you have benefits covering acupuncture, massage, counseling and/or nutrition. When you call to schedule an appointment, please let us know if you would like us to check your insurance benefits to see if any of our services are covered. We also accept workers’ compensation and auto injury patients as well.

Financial Assistance
Yampa Valley Medical Center is committed to providing outstanding healthcare to those we serve through safe, personalized, quality care regardless of an individual's ability to pay. YVMC offers financial assistance through the Colorado Indigent Care Program and YVMC's own Financial Assistance Program.
You may qualify for financial assistance with or without health insurance. In the event that you do not qualify for one of our programs, YVMC can help you with your medical bills by setting up a payment plan. Click here for more information.

Services offered:
- Acupuncture/Herbal therapy: Chinese medicine is a complete medical modality that can treat both physical and emotional imbalances in the body and restore overall health.
- Counseling/Mind-Body Therapy: Individual, family and group therapy services provide support and resources to clients and teach appropriate coping skills. Counseling support groups meet regularly with a trained facilitator to assist individuals challenged by a common issue or interest.
- Massage therapy/Energywork: Neuromuscular, prenatal, lymphatic and integrative massage therapy are all offered. These therapies reduce pain and alleviate stress. Both 30-minute and 60-minute sessions are available.
- Nutritional support/Consultation: Clients can learn how to create healthy eating habits using custom menu planning for a given diagnosis. Dietitians also provide consultation on supplements and how they may enhance the diet.
- Acupuncture and massage for cancer patients: We have therapists who have specific training in how to utilize acupuncture and massage for oncology patients.
