Do you need help to quit smoking or to give up tobacco use?
Quitting smoking can take several attempts throughout your life. Sometimes it is not just the quitting, it is more about staying tobacco-free for the rest of your life.
Everyone is aware of the dangers of smoking, and most people know they need to quit. But often the question is how to get it done.
Yampa Valley Medical Center offers one-on-one nicotine counseling with a trained, experienced nicotine counselor. With a referral from your doctor we will arrange a session of 30-45 minutes to sit down and discuss ways to finally give up your habit for good.
The purpose of your first visit will be to set a date, make plans for a successful quit attempt, and talk about tools you can use to defeat your tobacco use permanently. We can discuss medications if you want to use these in your quit attempt.
All of our nicotine counseling is done in a supportive, encouraging way.
If you have made the decision to quit, we encourage you to pick up the phone and take the first step to rid yourself of this unhealthy habit forever.
